A Seat at the Table

We were created to be in relationships and we crave community. From our earliest days in school, the table at which we sat and who we sat next to were important parts of our story. As we’ve grown older, wanting to belong and finding our people–our tribe–matters even more. But the truth is that there are seasons in our life when we feel alone, unloved, abandoned and unwanted and we wonder if there is still a place for us. We may even feel that there is no one who even cares if we exist. As we come to the communion table this Sunday we open up the Bible and explore God’s loving invitation to come to the table–to be with Him, feel His embrace and be with one another.
